Prepare a quote: one description, several firms
A quote is comparable when everyone reads the same job. Room by room, photos of the tightest door, floor, parking, preferred date. Whatever is missing, the firm fills with assumptions.
Minimum content of the request
Origin and destination, rough volume or furniture list, floor and lift at each address, carry path and parking, extras (boxes, assembly, piano, storage). One extra photo beats the phrase large flat.
What not to bury in a lump sum
Name the no-parking zone, packing hours, kitchen, storage and fragile pieces separately. Otherwise one quote includes them and the next does not, and the comparison collapses.
Short answers
Is the room count enough?
No. Two three-room flats rarely share the same volume. Furniture, cellar and attic count. Photos do not replace sizes for large wardrobes, but they help with access.
